After the LA Rams won the Super Bowl in 2022, they found themselves without any picks in the early rounds of the NFL Draft. In order to make an impact, the Rams had to do something no one expected: steal the NFL Draft…well, sort of. With the draft being held in Las Vegas, we drew from classic heist films to create a trailer for a movie that didn’t really exist, starring LA celebrities and Rams players. It garnered the attention of everyone in the league, and despite their position in the draft, The Rams stole the media moment and PR buzz from every other team. It even got a shoutout from Roger Goodell, who commented on the film to The L.A. times…
“I loved it. It’s what we encourage our clubs to do…It also creates interest in the draft, creates interest in the team. So that’s exactly the kind of engagement we want.” – Rodger Goodell
